Scientists follow the steps of a formal technique called The Scientific Method, which gives them a theory within which to work; more reliable than their hunches about the conundrum they’re in. Working within the framework of theory, using impersonal information, allows for an ever-expanding perspective rather than getting sucked in to the drama of personality or pain. What if, when we came up against obstacles in the body, instead of reacting to the complaint, we followed our own version of a Scientific Method.
1) Ask a question - What is the root of the resistance the body is experiencing?
2) Research - Set the body up at a 90-degree angle, giving it a framework to embody.
3) Hypothesize - Read the body, cross-reference what we see, find the story.
4) Experiment - Put the body in specific poses to remove pain, make it safe and enhance ease.
5) Analyze Data - Knowing what the body is up against, a larger narrative begins to unfold, emotional resistance can be amended by working formally.
6) Communicate - Unearth a more expansive perspective than the one the body walked in with, by physically re-directing it, re-informing it and re-training it, well-being becomes available
Join us for a series of body lab sessions where we will address working with ANY body, like scientists exploring problems in a lab. Each session will be used to read a different body and together we will analyze, excavate and explore the narrative before us, using the information we discover to determine how to best reinform the individuals body and personal trajectory.
Join Abbie Galvin LIVE on zoom for a series of 4 body lab sessions. Sign up for the full program of 4 sessions or drop in session by session. You will receive a zoom link via email one hour before the start of each session. Recordings available upon request if you can’t make a session.
